Welcome to Amplify ELA!
Amplify ELA
Amplify ELA is a blended English language arts curriculum designed specifically for grades 6–8. With Amplify ELA, students dive into a range of rich and diverse texts, supported by strategic routines and a variety of interactions that develop the critical capacities and build the vocabulary, knowledge, and skills students need to read deeply.
Students are engaged through dynamic texts, lively classroom discussions, and meaningful digital experiences.
This site is designed to help you become familiar with the program and to guide you through initial preparation for implementing Amplify ELA in your classroom.

- Teaching with Amplify ELA
To plan for delivery of print materials and storage space, here’s what to expect:
- Student Blended Package: Components are shipped in cartons, which include materials for multiple students. The maximum weight for any carton is 35 pounds, though the average weight is 15–20 pounds. The number of cartons depends on the number of students in your order. Packing slips will list the contents of each carton against the whole order.

What features are available to supplement Amplify ELA implementation?
Backwards planning
To think strategically about planning your upcoming Amplify ELA unit, try backwards planning to keep the end in mind and make sure you’re meeting learning objectives efficiently! Watch our video on this strategy to learn more.
- Differentiation
What kind of instruction is available for students who need additional support?
Embedded differentiation
In Amplify ELA lessons, a plus symbol on any activity icon indicates that the activity offers embedded differentiation levels with support and extension activities to meet the needs of all learners —including ELL students, as well as students ready for additional challenges. Directions in the Differentiation section of the Lesson Brief explain the types of support provided at each level, and when these supports may be helpful for particular students. This Differentiation section contains additional suggestions and ideas for supporting English learners apart from the embedded differentiated scaffolds. And in the Student Level Assignments screen, you can easily drag and drop student names into the differentiation level appropriate for their needs.

- Technology Requirements/FAQ
Technology Requirements and Guidelines
Your district administrator has been provided with hardware and network requirements to meet the minimum technical requirements for performance and support of your curriculum products. This information is available on Amplify’s customer requirements page.
Your district administrator has also been provided the URLs to Planning and passing to add to the corresponding district- or school-level filters. This step ensures that teachers and students can access Amplify ELA materials.
Your computer or tablet must also be set to accept “cookies” from Amplify program sites.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Why are there students missing from my class roster?
If a student(s) doesn’t appear on your class roster, they were most likely missing from the roster data provided by your district during the enrollment process. Please contact your district administrator to request that the student(s) be added.Question: Why do I see only a blank page – nothing appears to load – when trying to access an Amplify program page (like learning.amplify.com)?
A blank screen is often a sign that the website is being blocked by a school’s content filter. Please check with your IT group to confirm that the URLs on this page have been allowed for your district network. Alternatively, check to ensure “cookies” are accepted on your device.Easy and adaptable to teach
With six levels of embedded differentiation and assessments, teachers can make sure students are gaining key skills while not interrupting instruction. Because the program does this work in the background, teachers have more time doing what they love.
Also, only Amplify offers the 100-Day Pathway, a built-in guide to covering required content for each grade level in just 100 days while allowing teachers to add supplemental lessons and activities.
